grenier_brianBrian Grenier is an Instructional Technology Specialist for the El Paso Independent School District. He oversees educational technology training and development for over 600 educators in far west Texas. He has been in public education for over 20 years, as a classroom teacher, a Program Assistant, and as an Instructional Technology Specialist. He has a Master’s degree in School Leadership as well as one in Business Administration. Among his many accomplishments, Brian recently helped lead the first districtwide transition from traditional to digital textbooks in the El Paso ISD using the CK12.org platform. Brian has served in a number of leadership capacities both locally and statewide. He is a current member of multiple Campus Improvement Teams, has served as an Area Director for the Texas Computer Educator Association, is currently the TCEA Vice President of Records and Finance, and is a past-member of the Amigo AirSho Board of Directors.  Brian was the founding organizer and director for the Podstock SW Conference, an educational technology conference hosted in El Paso, which, in its first two years, drew over 500 educators, speakers, and vendors from across the Southwest United States and North America. Brian has been recognized as a Discovery STaR Educator and an Intel Master Teacher, he is a lifetime member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the International Society for Technology in Education, and the Texas Computer Educator Association.  Brian has been instrumental in helping campuses across the El Paso ISD implement strategies and practices aligned to mobile learning and 1:1 initiatives. He is adept and experienced at leading campuses in the development of long-term strategic planning. He has presented hundreds of workshops across El Paso, Texas, and the United States on topics related to instructional technology, 21st Century Skills, team building, and leadership. Brian has presented at ISTE, TCEA, miniCAST, TNT, and PodstockSW.  Brian currently resides in Santa Teresa, New Mexico with his wife and two children. He enjoys fly-fishing across the United States in his spare time, and is actively involved with the El Paso Youth Ice Hockey Association.
